Pitch at the first ever Irish Start-up Pitch Night
Bloomberg event will take place on the evening of 11th July 2016 with qualification via Panel Selection in London (20th June) and Dublin (now closed)
Why submit an application to Pitch?
Hosted jointly by the Irish International Business Network (IIBN) in collaboration with Bloomberg, this is a unique opportunity for Irish start-ups to pitch to an invited audience of world class VC and angel investors, from across Bloomberg’s portfolio of clients. An audience of c170 guests is anticipated.
Investors will be mainly drawn from the greater London area, with high net worth, VC, PE and Corporate Venture Funds participating.
Previous funding raised at Bloomberg events has ranged from £25k to £5.2m with 1 in 4 pitchers successfully receiving funding.This is a serious investment opportunity for Irish companies (whether at home or abroad) to position themselves in front of these investors, alongside an invited audience of IIBN Patrons and members, also looking to invest.
How to apply
Start-ups need to pre-qualify for the event through a pitch event in either London or Dublin. To apply:
1. Submit a 3 minute video of your pitch to firstname.lastname@example.org – along with contact details and why you think your company should be selected (100 word limit).
Selection Panel Events will be held in London and Dublin. You will need to do a 4 minute pitch and then answer questions from a panel of VC and industry experts for a further 3 minutes. Times will be strict, so make sure to communicate everything important within your allotted time! The panel will announce the selected pitchers to go through to Bloomberg on the night.

- Dublin – Now closed.
Deadline for applications is 5pm GMT on 13th June 2016.
- A maximum of 10 pitchers will be put through to the Bloomberg Pitch Night in London on 11th July 2016.
- IIBN will facilitate media interviews and other events for start-ups so please be ready at short notice!
- AV facilities will be available – please bring your deck on USB key on the night or email to email@example.com in advance.

We also encourage and support the next generation of Irish talent via a variety of programmes and partnerships with numerous other Networks, Alumni and via the Irish Government (Emigrant Support Programme, Global Irish Network, Global Irish Civic Forum). Three such programmes are the Irish Executive Mentoring Program (IEMP), the IIBN Future Leaders Programme (FLP), and Leadership & Executive Acceleration Program (LEAP).
The IEMP is a global online mentoring platform open to Irish or Irish connected people of all ages, backgrounds and industry sectors, matched for online support for up to a six month period. With connections in the 100s this platform continues to grow and build both mentoring capacity and connectivity for those who participate as protégés and mentors.
The FLP UK is aimed at 25-35 year old rising stars, Irish or of Irish descent living in the UK. FLP provides a light touch face-to-face mentoring programme and series of related events and activities to expedite the career path or entrepreneurial journey of the Future Leaders, with a strong connection to Ireland and its future economic growth and sustainability. Now in its second year 43 Future Leaders have been selected to participate in the programme, many of which with impressive, measurable outputs in terms of new business, investment, growth, and career paths.
LEAP is a professional development and leadership program focused on female Irish and Irish Americans. Program members may be at any stage of their career and may be professionals, entrepreneurs or other and resident in the broader New York/tri-state area. Women are under-represented at higher levels across corporations and many women have limited access to development programs. By developing such a program, IIBN seeks to provide opportunities to women and enable them to advance their career objectives and personal growth.
